What this site is
A professional portfolio and press kit for a freelance theatre director. It is published for information. Nothing here is an offer to contract, and sending an enquiry does not by itself create a working relationship, hire anyone, or reserve any dates. Any engagement is governed by a separate written agreement.
Ownership of the material here
The writing, page designs, production credits and photographs on this site belong to Shinshin Yuder Tsai or to the photographers and collaborators credited, and are protected by copyright. Play titles, company names and venue names belong to their respective owners and appear here to describe work accurately, not to imply endorsement.
You may read, link to, quote briefly with attribution, and print pages for your own reference. You may not republish substantial portions, use the material to train a machine-learning model, or present it as your own.
Press assets
The headshots, portrait and resume on the press page are offered for editorial use — programmes, listings, previews, reviews, festival and season announcements. Please credit the photographer where a credit is given. They are not licensed for advertising, merchandise, or use by any third party to promote something other than the work described. Email first if you need a different crop or a higher-resolution file.
About the references on this site
The quotations on the about and work pages are genuine written references supplied by people who have actually worked with Shinshin Yuder Tsai. Nobody was paid or otherwise compensated for them. Some are shortened for length; none have been reworded, and none were drafted for the person who signed them. They describe those individuals’ own experiences and are not a promise of any particular result on your production.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is. Reasonable care goes into keeping credits and contact details accurate, but no promise is made that every page is complete, current or error-free, or that the site will always be available. Dates, venues and titles are recorded from memory and paperwork and may contain mistakes — if you spot one, please say so.
